Themes are soon getting a massive overhaul! This page will be updated once that's done.
You can select your theme by clicking the Sun icon next to your profile (upper photo)! If you want to create or customize your own theme, see the photo below for reference. You will want to click on the plus button in the top right corner of the menu.
There are currently a handful of premade themes, but you can also customize your own. On top of that, you can layer a Custom Theme on top of a premade theme. This is very helpful because currently, you're unable to change the "Dialogue Color" yourself, and are stuck with whatever the premade theme has. So you can select a premade theme based off of what "Dialogue Color" you like the most, then build your Custom Theme to change the other parts.
To layer them, you'll have to select both the premade theme and the Custom Theme to apply.
Please note there is currently a bug that sometimes turns off the theme! This will be fixed during the big overhaul!
We can now name themes! No more "Theme 1" or "Theme 2," you can label them and navigate your pretty color schemes a lot easier now.
When you scroll down, you will see that there are organized options for different customization settings. See the picture below. Each category is labeled with a subheading (in red) that tells you what you can customize when you navigate this setting. In blue, it'll tell which specific component of that category will change if you were to edit the color for that section. For example, in red box #1, you want to edit the text color. Under this category, within the blue box, you can edit the primary text text, which is the main text color that you will see on the main page of CharSnap and in your chats/roleplays.
When you tap on any of the colored squares, you will be greeted by the color selector pop-up (below). Here, you can slide the circles around to select the color you want, or enter/type a hex code if you have a very specific color in mind. If you're feeling lazy, you can also opt for one of the quick color options (just one tap away) at the bottom!
Below is an illustration that shows the meaning of theme editor fields. The VISUAL is out of date, but the affected variables of changing each category (the information) is still applicable.
Please make sure to read all the headers and the subtexts for each customization category. If you're still confused and need a better idea of what some of these boxes will change, please see the photo all the way at the bottom of the page. Otherwise, come join us on the , we can figure it out together! We're still working out with aesthetics and what buttons changes what.
